#28: Finish bachelor thesis: done done done!

And I am sooo glad. For everyone who has had to write a final thesis, whether for your bachelor, masters degree or other educational purposes, writing a thesis is one hack of a time consuming project. Especially when you have to write it during your internship. Which, in my case, took place in CancĂșn, Mexico. Yes indeed, crazy tropical Spring break paradise CancĂșn. I had to work 45 hours a week, but as you can guess the weekends were full of partying. And what kind of partying…

I have experienced wet t-shirt contests (that ended in a no-t-shirt and even not-wearing-anything-at-all contest), yacht parties, paint parties, beach parties, house concerts, bar hopping nights and other alcoholic nights ending in desperately waving at cabs while trying not fall over my own feet. Now you can imagine this did not help with writing a bachelor thesis at all, hence I am graduating in August instead of June, when most of my classmates received their degree.

Now I must say, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The experiences I have had in Mexico (which are not only drunken ones but also culturally educative and amazingly mind opening ones) helped me so much in becoming the person I am today, that a delayed graduation is completely worth it.

Anyway, my thesis is done. Written. Finished. Printed and handed-in. Only thing left to do is defending my thesis next Wednesday. Wish me luck!

#92: Donate 50.000 grains of rice on freerice.com (2000/50.000)

On freerice.com you can donate rice to third world countries by doing simple and fun games. You can either improve your knowlegde of English vocabulary (and trust me, this is difficult even after three years of English university), famous paintings, geography and a few other categories. I think this goal is both educative and filantropic so a nice addition to my 101 things in 1001 days list. So far I have accumulated 2000 grains of rice, only 48.000 to go!

101 106 things in 1001 days

The official Day Zero project is about achieving 101 things in 1001 days, but being inspired by other people’s projects I already listed 106 things. However, my goal is still to achieve 101 things within the set time, but now I just have more things to choose from :)
